Many of us have had to restrict our movements for weeks or months on end over the past year. Rather than dwelling on the negatives, I decided to observe and appreciate the familiar things in my environment and use them in a positive way as a springboard for creativity and making some new art. I used various eco-friendly ways to develop this series of artworks on paper, including an eco print made using locally foraged plant materials and hand stitching.
My ‘eagle’ series was inspired by the endangered Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle which we are privileged to see above our property in northern Tasmania.
