The backgrounds of these ecoprinted and handstitched art works are made from watercolour paper.
I used a domestic heatpress to extract the natural colours and prints from flowers and leaves gathered from my garden.
Tirn vintage sheet music, eco printed scraps and handwritten text from my journal have been collaged into the backgrounds before stitching by machine.
The embroidery is stitched by hand using 3 strands of embroidery cotton, inspired by the ecoprints.
Ready to frame as desired; signed and dated for provenance.
