A visual interpretation of the way we ‘wear’ our wounds – an inventory of random but significant memories in an attempt to make sense of them.

Shadows in the corners of his mind evade the groping fingers of memory leading inexorably to …. what?

Year follows year, on the surface cohesive, but for him entirely random.

Disconnected thoughts try to reconnect until he feels disconnected to everything.

Scarred, but not able to define the wounds. Yearning, but unable to find what he cannot explain. Loyal; faithful; unfulfilled.

In the end, his inner turmoil, too long suppressed, almost breaks him. But when the dam bursts, it is love that overwhelms him, and he is free.

The random years are finally at an end.

Inspired by the book Random Harvest by James Hilton; published 1941.
