I am very excited to feature this global collaboration at my gallery! A total of 17 natural dyers from around the world (including Tasmania) contributed yarns which were incorporated in a contemporary saori weave, hosted and assembled by UK textile artist and designer Maria Clarke-Wilson.
It will be on display from 17 January for an extended period, but there will be a very special Open Day on 27 January with demonstrations and activities from 11 am to 3 pm.
A small weaving kit with naturally dyed yarns will be available to participants for a cost of $10 each.
The day's program includes spindle and wheel spinning demonstrations from 11 - 12.30 with Robina and Megan.
Please mark this date in your diary!
