This unique coat is made from vintage wool cut from a 1940’s hospital blanket. It took a while to design because some fabrics needed to be pieced together before assembly, which I semi-planned for creative style opportunities. I also visibly mended the fabric in several places, which adds to its ‘story’! I added found objects as embellishments.
Eco printed with eucalyptus, banksia, bracken fern and copper pipe or rusty cans. Simmered in onion skin dye, steamed, or done in my ongoing ‘dirty’ pot.
